Looking for a Mezz jump cue built specifically for controlled jump shots? The Mezz AD3 Airdrive 3 uses full carbon-fiber construction in both the butt and AD3 Carbon shaft, with a design focused on balance, power transfer, and versatility across different jump distances. Mezz developed the AD3 as a dedicated jump cue rather than simply adapting a playing cue for elevated shots.
The AD3 Carbon shaft measures 29 inches and uses a 13.5 mm Tsubasa tip. The cue features Mezz’s D2 quick-release joint, which uses a trapezoid screw construction and takes approximately two turns to secure the shaft to the butt. The AD3 can be configured in either a two-piece setup measuring 41.3 inches or a three-piece setup measuring 51.2 inches.
The three-piece design gives players flexibility when approaching different jump shots, while the full-carbon construction keeps the cue’s structure consistent between configurations. Mezz specifically designed the front end around its AD Powerplate and Tsubasa tip, with the company describing the setup as suitable for follow, draw, and side-spin jump shots. The AD3 is also carried by Mezz-sponsored players including Donny Mills, Fraser Patrick, and Francesco Candela.
