Looking for a Mezz pool cue with a distinctive Bird’s Eye Maple design? The Mezz ASTR-232 is part of the ASTR23 Series and features a Bird’s Eye Maple forearm with composite wood and Ivory Juma inlays, paired with a composite wood butt sleeve and silver ring. The cue uses Mezz’s tapered core butt technology and United joint, giving the ASTR23 Series its characteristic solid connection and traditional wood-shaft feel.
The ASTR-232 comes equipped with a 12.5 mm WX-Σ Sigma shaft, XJ Powerplate tip end, and Kamui S tip. Both the shaft and butt measure 29 inches, with a manufacturer-listed weight range of 19.0–19.5 oz. The Irish linen grip gives the cue a familiar traditional profile, while the United joint is an important consideration for players who already use Mezz equipment with this joint configuration.
What makes the ASTR-232 distinct within the ASTR23 Series is its Bird’s Eye Maple forearm and combination of composite wood and Ivory Juma detailing. The model is also used by competitive players including Ina Kaplan, Sami Erkan Koylu, Arseni Sevastyanov, Quinten Pongers, and Ronald Regli, with Mezz listing the ASTR-232 in their playing-cue setups.
