ASTR-234

Looking for a Mezz ASTR23 cue with a distinctive Purpleheart design? The Mezz ASTR-234 features a Purpleheart forearm and butt sleeve with Ivory Juma and Turquoise inlays, finished with silver and Juma ring details. The ASTR23 platform combines Mezz’s tapered core butt technology with its United joint and WX-Σ Sigma shaft for a natural wood-shaft playing experience.

The ASTR-234 comes equipped with a 12.5 mm WX-Σ Sigma shaft, XJ Powerplate tip end, and Kamui S tip. Both the shaft and butt measure 29 inches, with a manufacturer-listed weight range of 19.0–19.5 oz. The Irish linen grip gives the cue a traditional playing-cue profile, while the United joint provides the specific connection players should consider when matching this cue with other Mezz equipment.

What makes the ASTR-234 distinct within the ASTR23 Series is its Purpleheart construction combined with Ivory Juma and Turquoise inlays. The model is also used by competitive players including Quinten Pongers, Jani Siekkinen, Katarzyna Wesolowska, and Shirin Volery, with Mezz listing the ASTR-234 in their playing-cue setups.
