ASTR-235

The Mezz ASTR-235 is part of Mezz’s ASTR series, built around a composite wood butt with tapered core technology and clean ivory Juma inlays for a smooth, consistent hit. Designed for advancing league and tournament players, this cue offers the stability, control, and refined feel serious competitors expect from a top-tier Japanese cue.

This design features a bird’s eye maple forearm with composite wood and ivory Juma inlays, paired with a composite wood butt sleeve carrying matching bird’s eye maple and ivory Juma inlays, finished with silver rings. The Irish linen wrap offers a comfortable, secure grip that performs well in all conditions. Paired with Mezz’s WX-Sigma 12.5mm low-deflection shaft, it delivers a natural wooden hit with excellent control and reduced squirt. The United joint provides a solid, unified connection and reliable alignment, while the Kamui (S) tip on an XJ Powerplate ferrule enhances spin, grip, and cue ball control. At 19.0–19.5 oz with a 29″ butt and 29″ shaft.

What distinguishes the ASTR-235 from the rest of the series is its bird’s eye maple and composite wood combination — a different material pairing than the rosewood ASTR-231, the birdseye maple/composite ASTR-232, or the ASTR-233 and ASTR-234 models.
